COVID-19 Business Help

PNM helps small business find the tools to navigate COVID-19.

We’re all in this together.

We don’t just keep the power on, we want to help you power on.

PNM is making it easier for small businesses to get federal, state, and local coronavirus financial help because we know small businesses are struggling.

PNM has partnered with the New Mexico Small Business Development Center to help small businesses sift through all the information out there and get the money small business needs to make it out of this tough time.

CARES Act

On Friday, April 24, the U.S. Government approved an additional $300 billion for the Paycheck Protection Program. Applications with the Small Business Administration reopened on Monday, April 27.

On Friday, March 27, the U.S. Government passed the most substantial rescue package in U.S. history with the $2.2 trillion, 880-page CARES Act. This Act offers direct economic aid to millions of struggling Americans and contains provisions for unemployment, small business assistance, health, and human services, relief funds to states, and more.

With so much information to wade through, we wanted to provide you and your communities with some information on the Act and provide some resources for businesses and communities. By no means is this information exhaustive. Please contact your local Small Business Administration (SBA) to learn more about which available programs may be right for you. Here are some useful links to get started. For more detailed information on applying for the Paycheck Protection Program, you can reference the Small Business Owner’s Guide to the CARES Act.
